Shawn Beaver is our senior litigator and the founder of Beaver Leebody Frank & Associates.
Shawn began his education at McGill University in Montreal, where he received his B.A. with First Class Honors. He then moved to Edmonton, where he studied at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Law. While there, Shawn received an LL.B and graduated first in his class. Shawn continues to maintain his ties to the University of Alberta, where he teaches the next generation of lawyers in courses such as Advanced Evidence.
Shawn began his legal practice at one of Edmonton's premier criminal defence firms in 1993. Having left that firm to start a criminal defence firm of his own, Shawn is extremely proud to have assembled what he believes to be one of the finest groups of criminal defence lawyers working in Edmonton today.
Shawn will work hard to find the right solution for your problem. With Shawn, there are no surprises and you will receive an honest and frank assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of your case.
Shawn will consider the advantages of lobbying the Crown on your behalf, and will first explore all non-trial alternatives. Every effort will be made to ensure your criminal record is kept clean and your Court appearances minimal. Shawn is a skilled negotiator, but also a fierce litigator and defender of your rights when negotiations fail and a trial is necessary.
Shawn would be pleased to handle your case. He looks forward to meeting you to discuss your file and to finding the best possible solution for you.

Brad has been practicing law in Alberta since 2001 and has defended clients in a variety of areas of criminal law, including: murder, drug trafficking, sexual assault, domestic assault, impaired driving, employee theft and fraud.
Brad is a graduate of the University of Alberta where he studied psychology as an undergrad before graduating from law school. He began his training as a criminal trial lawyer under the guidance of Alexander Pringle, Q.C., in Edmonton.
Brad is the most senior associate at Beaver Leebody Frank & Associates and is proud to have established a practice that focuses on his client's needs and their best interests.
Brad knows that meeting a client's needs means keeping the client apprised at all times of important developments in their case and being open to all questions and concerns raised by the client. After nearly a decade of practicing criminal law, Brad understands that keeping the client informed and involved is the formula to ensure his client's needs are met.
A focus on the client's best interest means following one simple principle: review all of the evidence and tell the client what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. Brad believes that fulfilling his role as your advocate demands nothing less.
Brad has successfully defended clients at all levels of Court in Alberta and regularly takes cases outside of the Edmonton area. Although he has successfully argued appeals in both the Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal, he considers himself first and foremost a trial lawyer.
Brad's dedication to the defence of all persons accused of committing criminal offences has earned him the respect of his peers and the Courts. He is eager to meet with you to discuss your case and how the law firm of Beaver Leebody Frank & Associates can help you.
